Michail Lagogiannis Director

Michail joined Gresham in 2005 and is a Director of Gresham’s corporate advisory business.

Michail has worked on a range of mergers and acquisitions advisory transactions across a wide range of industries. Assignments have included agreed and hostile takeovers, private treaty acquisitions and disposals, equity and debt capital raisings and corporate restructures.

Michail has had a prominent role in recent transactions including the sale of Minelab for $70m, the $600m merger of Regis with Retirement Care Australia and the $175m takeover defence of Orchard Petroleum Limited.

Prior to joining Gresham, Michail worked with Ferrier Hodgson's Restructure & Turnaround team, gaining significant experience in a broad range of trade sales, strategic business reviews and corporate restructuring assignments. Two notable examples include the IPO of Zinifex and the restructure of Sons of Gwalia.

Michail holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. In 2001, Michail completed an MBA at Melbourne Business School, which included an exchange to Georgetown University in Washington DC. In 2007-2008, Michail won the National Dux Prize for the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
