Peter is a highly credentialed retailer, having held senior retail positions in Australia and South Africa. He led the repositioning of David Jones as Australia's premier department store and previously held Managing Director roles for Myer Stores Ltd, Target Australia and the Just Jeans group. He has strong merchant experience, having held the role of General Manager - Merchandise and Marketing at Myer, and General Manager Store operations in South Africa.
He has served on a number of retail boards, including Coles Myer Limited, David Jones and Just Jeans.
He has also served as Chairman of the Agribusiness Programs Board (A Federal Government body.), as President of the Australian Retailers Association and as President of the Intercontinental Group of Department Stores.
Peter is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Noel Leeming.
