Hugo joined Gresham in 2003 and is an Executive Director of Gresham's corporate advisory business.

Hugo has been involved in a number of M&A transactions and financing deals. Recent advisory roles have included: the initial strategic investment and subsequent privatisation of Babcock & Brown Communities by Lend Lease, various equity raisings for Lend Lease, the acquisition of Magna Pacific by destra Corporation, the sale of Unwired Group to Seven Network, and the takeover defence of Wattyl Limited.

Other roles include: the initial public offering of Radio Rentals, the acquisition by David Jones of its flagship department stores, the sale of Millers Self Storage to Valad Property Group and Kennards Self Storage, and the acquisition of Affinity Health by Ramsay Health Care including the associated debt and equity funding.

Previously, Hugo spent five years working in London and Sydney for Goldman Sachs in their Corporate Finance team.

Hugo studied at the University of Edinburgh and received a First Class Honours in Civil Engineering in 1998.
